The government wants to give consumers a taste of reality as they go for that second or third handful of chips.
The food and drug administration is recommending manufacturers place nutritional labels front and center and adjust serving sizes to more realistic portions.
Researchers said the serving size data found on nutrition labels is actually 20 to 30 years old.
By changing the labels, the FDA hopes consumers will make better nutritional decisions.
